Here Today, Gone Tomorrow explores the idea of fast news, where tragic events are only popular for a short amount of time. Looking at both the Grenfell Tower fire and Extinction Rebellion protests to highlight how significant media attention can quickly fade out of public consciousness. My aim with this project is to make society more aware of fast news and educate them on how the media can manipulate what we see. I want to raise awareness and to carry on the conversation surrounding these events as we cannot afford to forget the victims of Grenfell and those involved with Extinction Rebellion. They need answers yet our minds are now focusing on what is current and happening today.
